Menu Redesigns

Under new management, Indianapolis’ Le Peep restaurants begun a brand refresh with new interior decor and artisan touches, but did not know where to start with their flat, tabloid-sized menu. That’s where I came in.

Since they were actually looking to expand their menu as well, I knew I could not get away from the tabloid size, but who wants to hold an 11″ x 17″ sheet? It had to reduce in size. It had to become manageable. I landed on the gate-fold concept as it allowed me to guide a customer through the menu with a sense of direction.

While breakfast and brunch sales continue to climb, lunch has not increased as the owner hoped. So, when it came time to open a new restaurant, I set them up with a new variation that puts lunch on the front page. I look forward to learning from the results.

As I was going through these shots in Lightroom, I saw the menu begin to dance around. Well, I had to jump into Photoshop real quick to make this little stop-motion animation. I might have to purchase a Gumby doll “for my son” now.
